ACCREDITATION APPLICATIONS FOR 2025-2026

Programmes Required to Apply for Accreditation

Programmes that are requested to be evaluated for accreditation by EPDAD in the 2025-2026 evaluation period and undergraduate programmes that have been evaluated in the 2022-2023/2023-2024 period and for which an "Interim Evaluation" decision has been taken in the 2025-2026 period must apply to EPDAD until 27 January 2025.

Programmes that do not submit their accreditation applications until 27 January 2025 will not be evaluated in the 2025-2026 period and the accreditation of those whose accreditation periods expire on 28.03.2026, 16.04.2026, 24.04.2026 and 01.05.2026 will be terminated as of this date.

In the 2025-2026 evaluation period, the number of applications of institutions is limited to 3 (three) programmes for "First Time General Evaluation".

Programmes and Institutions that can apply for accreditation

1. Teacher education undergraduate programmes of higher education institutions in the Republic of Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus which are recognised by the Council of Higher Education in other countries may apply for accreditation.
2. Except for the Guidance and Psychological Counselling Programme, an applicant programme must have the word "teaching" in its name.
3. A programme to be applied for the first time must have graduated before the application date.
4. If an applicant programme has several programme options that students can use to complete their undergraduate studies, each of them must meet all the evaluation criteria separately.
5. For programmes accredited for 3 and 5 years in the 2022-2023 evaluation period and for programmes that will apply for interim evaluation and re-general evaluation in the 2025-2026 evaluation period, to have prepared the "Development Monitoring Report" in the evaluation period prior to the application.

Important Dates in the Evaluation and Accreditation Process

• 27 January 2025: Deadline for higher education institutions to notify EPDAD of the programmes for which they wish to apply for accreditation in 2025.

- For the application for undergraduate programmes, a user account must first be created on behalf of the Dean of the Faculty with the Dean's corporate e-mail address from the EPDAD Accreditation Information Management System (ABYS). After the user application is approved by the EPDAD Office, it is necessary to log in to the system with the e-mail address and password and apply for each programme from the "Application Procedures" menu. When the user account is approved, a notification will be sent by e-mail.

• 21 February 2025: Deadline for EPDAD to notify the relevant institutions of the programmes that require additional information and documents in the preliminary evaluation of the application.
• 28 March 2025: Deadline for institutions to be notified of programmes that may be considered for accreditation by EPDAD in 2025 and to submit relevant contract proposals.
• 18 April 2025: Deadline for the contract proposals submitted for accreditation applications to be approved by the institutions and returned to EPDAD.
• 04 July 2025: Deadline for institutions to enter and approve the self-assessment and/or interim assessment reports of the programmes for which they applied for accreditation in 2025 into EPDAD EQMS.
• 29 August 2025: Deadline for EPDAD to notify the relevant institutions of reporting and/or criteria inadequacies identified in the preliminary review of self-assessment reports submitted to EPDAD.
• 26 September 2025: Deadline for the entry and approval of the reports whose format and/or reporting deficiencies have been resolved by the institutions to EPDAD EMS.
• 26 December 2025: Deadline for programmes accredited for 3 and 5 years in the 2023-2024 Evaluation Period to input and approve their Progress Monitoring Reports for application assessment into EPDAD's EQMS.
