ACCREDITATION APPLICATIONS FOR 2026-2027

Programmes Required to Apply for Accreditation

Programmes that are requested to be evaluated for accreditation by EPDAD in the 2026-2027 evaluation period and undergraduate programmes that have been evaluated in the 2023-2024/2024-2025 period and decided to be "Interim Evaluation" in the 2026-2027 period must apply to EPDAD until 30 January 2026.

Programmes that do not submit their accreditation applications until 30 January 2026 will not be evaluated in the 2026-2027 period and the accreditations of those whose accreditation periods expire on 16.04.2027 and 01.05.2027 will be terminated as of this date.

In the 2026-2027 evaluation period, the number of applications of institutions is limited to 3 (three) programmes for "First Time General Evaluation".

Programmes and Institutions that can apply for accreditation

1. Teacher education undergraduate programmes of higher education institutions in the Republic of Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus which are recognised by the Council of Higher Education in other countries may apply for accreditation.
2. Except for the Guidance and Psychological Counselling Programme, an applicant programme must have the word "teaching" in its name.
3. A programme applying for the first time must have graduated before the application date.
4. If an applicant programme has several programme options that students can use to complete their undergraduate education, each of them must meet all of the evaluation criteria separately.
5. For programmes accredited for 3 and 5 years in the 2023-2024 evaluation period and for programmes that will apply for interim evaluation and re-evaluation in the 2026-2027 evaluation period, to have prepared the "Development Monitoring Report" in the evaluation period before the application.

Important Dates in the Evaluation and Accreditation Process

• 30 January 2026: Deadline for higher education institutions to notify EPDAD of the programmes they wish to apply for accreditation in 2026.

- For the application for undergraduate programmes, first of all, a user account must be created with the Dean's institutional e-mail address from EPDAD Accreditation Information Management System (AIMS) on behalf of the Faculty Dean. After the user application is approved by the EPDAD Office, it is necessary to log in to the system with the e-mail address and password and apply for each programme from the "Application Procedures" menu. When the user account is approved, a notification will be sent by e-mail.

• 20 February 2026: Deadline for EPDAD to notify the relevant institutions of the programmes that require additional information and documents in the preliminary evaluation of the application.
• 27 March 2026: Deadline for EPDAD to notify the institutions of the programmes that can be considered for accreditation in 2026 and to send the relevant contract offers.
• 17 April 2026: Deadline for the approval of the contract proposals sent regarding accreditation applications by the institutions and their return to EPDAD.
• 03 July 2026: Deadline for institutions to enter and approve the self-assessment and/or interim assessment reports of the programmes for which they applied for accreditation in 2026 into EPDAD CMS.
• 28 August 2026: Deadline for EPDAD to notify the relevant institutions of reporting and/or criteria inadequacies identified in the preliminary review of self-assessment reports sent to EPDAD.
• 25 September 2026: Deadline for the entry and approval of the reports whose format and/or reporting inadequacies have been resolved by the institutions to EPDAD EMS.
• 25 December 2026: Deadline for programmes accredited for 3 and 5 years in the 2024-2025 Evaluation Period to enter and approve their Progress Monitoring Reports into EPDAD AIS for application evaluation.
